2006 Just Faith Participants

There are many ways to become involved
in the work of IJPC.

The Interfaith Justice and Peace Center, an interfaith organization
in Northwest Ohio, fosters awareness and coordinates action on
local, national, and global peace and justice issues by non-violent
means. From a diversity of faith backgrounds, the Center
advocates the sacredness and dignity of all human beings.
Some examples of faith based organizations that IJPC
works in connection with are as follows: Baha'i, Episcopalian,
Hindu, Jewish, Lutheran, Mennonite, Methodist, Muslim,
Presbyterian, Roman Catholic, Toledo Friends, Unitarian,
and United Church of Christ.

The Interfaith Justice and Peace Center, in addition to its mission
statement of advocating the sacredness and dignity of all human
beings, has adopted the Earth Charter. The Earth Charter seeks
to establish a sound ethical foundation for the emerging global
society and to help build a sustainable world based on respect
for mature, universal human rights, economic justice, and a
culture of peace.

To do this IJPC elects a steering committee who bring to the
table a wide variety of expertise and networking with other
area groups and congregations. Together the Steering
Committee plans a wide variety of events including: lectures,
tours, prayer vigils, fairs and co-sponsoring many other
organizations and denominations to further the cause of peace
and justice by non-violent means.

We stand at a critical moment in Earth's history ... the future at once holds great peril and great promise.
